Yesterday we were invited to make Chinese dumplings with the Robertsons, so we postponed our 2nd Advent dinner until tonight. (The dumplings were fantastic - totally worth pushing advent back a day!)
So, here we are about to enjoy our 2nd Advent meal.
Since the 2nd Advent is supposed to be about Joy, we all shared something(s) that bring us joy. Here is what everyone said:
Luke: Christmas, when people aren't mean, when people don't take things away, and when people don't lie about Christmas being real
Adam: having friends at school
Pepper: church and our family (again, extra credit)
Jessica: shopping, Christmas, friends, horseback-riding, blasting music when she's alone in the house, when people compliment her
Jill: when my kids don't fight
So glad you traded in your second advent for some delicious dumplings. We sure know how to taint Christmas :P
