Today, I went with Mark and Lois on a bus tour of Berlin. In theory, it was supposed to be a nice way to get an overview of the city. However, in practice, it was a little frustrating, as it felt like every point of interest was surrounded by construction. It's hard to get too impressed by a city that seems to consist mostly of rickety metal fences and orange cones. Maybe I was just grumpy because of the rain.
Here is a shot of the East Side Gallery, the biggest remaining section of the Berlin Wall. Berlin commissioned artists to paint it, so it's not nearly the gloomy reminder of East Germany that it could be.
